Hey there! So I discovered years ago that one of biggest weaknesses was my love of juice and sodas. Even though I try to cut back on drinking sodas and juice, temptation gets me every time. Some days I sadly sit on my bed looking out my window dreaming about a refreshing glass of my favorite juice, while I slowly sip my bland water. Okay maybe it doesn’t exactly happen like that, but I’m sure you guys get my point. One of my favorite drinks that I can never seem to get enough of is lemonade. Lemonade has been and is still one of my favorite drinks, but I knew that I wanted to switch it up and add a twist and I’m so glad I did.
When I first tasted this drink I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed it, because for years I’ve hated the taste of ice tea. Yes I know, I’m a southern girl and iced tea basically runs through our veins, but I have to admit it’s my least favorite drink of choice.
But this drink right here, gave me a newfound insight on iced tea drinks, and turning it into a lemonade made me love it even more. Not only is it delicious and refreshing but it’s also healthy too! Instead of using sugar I used Stevia which has less calories and is a much better alternative. I know, it sounds too good to be true, right? The process is easy, and the taste is absolutely amazing. This drink has become a staple during my summer and I love it with my sweet and spicy barbecue chicken quesadilla. Hopefully this twist on lemonade will become a staple in your home too.
